Helping Discovery's biggest show

The Deadliest Catch is one of Discovery Channel's biggest hits. It portrays the real life events aboard fishing vessels in the Bering Sea during the Alaskan king crab fishing seasons. The show airs in over 150 countries so you can imagine the important role music plays in each episode.

Sir Groovy's music can be heard in several episodes of Discovery's most popular show, and that is thanks to our friends at The Talent House and Amygdala music. Since 2010 these clients have been utilizing Sir Groovy to find new and exciting bands to bring to Discovery.

In a recent episode, the producers of the show needed a dark, industrial rock song with strong lyrics to bring emotion to a scene where the crew finds out the ship's captain had a stroke. Our easy to use search engine allowed the folks at Discovery to have the perfect song ready to license within minutes making the whole process fast and simple for what usually is a days long search. This is one of many cases where Sir Groovy has been able to help our friends at Discovery with finding and licensing music for their most important show.
